fast space switching

It's driven me crazy for a long time that space switching on mac is so slow; enough that I had given up all hope of getting it faster. That article points to an app I'd not seen before:

I've installed the app, and it works with its own shortcut, but the mac default shortcut overrides it. To disable ctrl+right and left for switching, I went to system preferences -> keyboard -> keyboard shorcuts... -> Mission Control -> Mission Control (command group) and disabled the Move left a space and Move right a space command shortcuts.

With that, instant (approximately) switching is mine after so long!

The news.yc comments point out that Aerospace, which I used for a little while, also provides this and suggest that OmniWM solves this too.
